On August 5th 2009 Panasonic Evolta set another record officiated by the Guinness Book of Records, for the longest distance covered by a battery-operated remote-controlled model car: 23.726 km (14.74 miles) to be exact – on 2 AA batteries! Take a closer look at the Evolta Robot - In the photo, Tomotaka Takahashi himself (the inventor) is holding the robot that is powered by only 2 AA batteries. At the Le Mans race track, Takahashi will try to set a new record: to roll for 24 hours on just two batteries! It is estimated that this would be equivalent to six rounds on the Le Mans track. Tomotaka is a popular figure in Japan, he has won many robotic awards including the world Robo Cup four times.

"TomuchTV" and Customlight work on a lighting solution !
Temehe Rongonui of Tomuchtv Productions, well known for his work on the iconic Kiwi television show "What Now" on TV2, recently approached Customlight to look at a couple of lighting solutions to enable more control of light direction when filming on the set. Being a specialised field there are very few companies still working in this lighting niche. Thankfully we were able to arrive at a suitable solution for a suitable price.
